This page is, for the time being, the home of the World Federation of Hungarian Veterans (MHBK). The organization was founded in 1947-48 in Innsbruck and Klagenfurt, Austria, by the exiled members of the former Royal Hungarian Armed Forces, under the direction of Major General András Zákó, who served as the Association’s leader until his death in 1968. MHBK still has active groups on four continents, carrying out social and cultural activities, and continuing traditions. Its newsletter, ’Hadak Útján’ was established in April 1949, making it the third oldest, still active Hungarian newspaper outside of the Carpathian Basin. It reports on the events organized by our member groups, as well as our sister organizations in Hungary and abroad.

In the attached files, you can see the Mission Statement and read about the history of some of the individual local chapters, as well as all issues of the newsletter since January 2013.
